(MENAFN) Dubai-based air services provider dnata said it has secured contracts for two carriers who have recently entered the UK aviation market, Arabian Business reported.
dnata is one of the largest suppliers of combined air services in the world offering ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering services across five continents.
The company said in a statement that its has signed a multi-year contract with Pakistan’s Airblue to service its cargo handling business at Manchester airport.
The carrier, which flies four times a week to both Islamabad and Lahore will be using dnata’s UK handling network and inter-airport trucking service.
dnata also said that it started providing cargo handling services for Aeromexico at London Heathrow.
As part of the agreement, the carrier will also have the ability to connect its London Heathrow service to the wider UK regional airports network by using dnata’s inter-airport trucking services.
Earlier this month, dnata said it won contracts from British Airways and Iberia to provide ground handling services at both Zurich and Geneva Airports in Switzerland.
Under the contracts dnata will provide passenger handling, ticketing, ramp handling and de-icing services starting in February 2013.
