(MENAFN) Dubai-based port operator DP World said it plans to build new facilities in India in a bid, according to Arabian Business.
The new facilities are expected to start operating in 2015.
The foundation stone of the new DP World terminal at India’s premier gateway port, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, has been already achieved in a ceremony.
The ceremony was under the patronage of India’s Minister of Shipping, Shri GK Vasan, at the Nhava Sheva Gateway Terminal site.
The new terminal is expected to add 800,000 TEUs (twenty foot equivalent container units) of container capacity to the port as soon as it starts operating.
