(MENAFN) Dubai’s foreign trade fell 3.7 percent in the January-June period, reaching USD178 billion compared to USD184.80 in the same period last year, Saudi Gazette reported.
During the first half of the year, Dubai’s imports hit USD111.04, while exports reached USD16.05 billion and re-exports USD50.89 billion.
China was Dubai’s top foreign trade partner in the cited period, with the value of trades amounting to USD21.91 billion, followed by India with USD14.42 billion, then the US with USD11.15 billion, and Saudi Arabia with USD734 billion.
In terms of sectors, phones and PCs accounted for 17 percent of Dubai’s total foreign trade in the cited period, with phone trades reaching USD23.13 billion, up 11 percent on year.
