(MENAFN) The STR Global Construction Pipeline Report revealed that hotel room capacity in Dubai would grow 28.6 percent next year, reported Khaleej Times.
At the current time, the emirate has 17,409 rooms in the construction pipeline.
The Middle East and Africa region would add 150 new hotels in the period, with hotel construction in Saudi and Oman expected to see strong double-digit growth.
Year-to-date, the region saw the opening of 46 hotels, with 10,510 rooms.
It is worth noting that the region is forecasted to post notable growth in new hotel builds next year compared with 2012.
