Dubai’s inflation down 1.5% in H1

(MENAFN) Official report showed that Dubai’s inflation declined during the first half of 2012, driven by lower costs of housing, water electricity, gas and fuel, Khaleej Times reported.

According to Dubai Statistics Centre, consumer prices in the Gulf emirate dropped to 1.48 percent in the first six months of the year compared to a year earlier.

The report showed that the cost of housing, electricity, gas and fuel dropped by an average rate of 6.02 percent, while clothing and footwear group fell by 2.02 percent.

Communication group also recorded a slight decrease in the first half, the report added.
