Dubai’s Jan hotel revenues up 12%

(MENAFN) STR Global said that in January, hotel revenues in Dubai jumped by around 12 percent from 2011’s same period to USD269.85, reported Arabian Business.

Hotels in the emirate recorded an increase of 26.1 percent in revenue per available room (RevPAR) to USD232.72.

On the other hand, revenues in Jeddah were up by over 13 percent from a year earlier to USD211.55, whereas RevPAR in the city’s hotels surged 43.9 percent to USD156.53.

It is worth noting that the Middle East/Africa region reported mostly positive performance results in the month, with a rise of 6.4 percent in RevPAR to USD100.88.
