(MENAFN) According to the director of Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), private schools in Dubai earned USD1.45 billion in fees in 2014, Gulf News reported.

The KHDA report said that 87 percent of the existing 292,301 available seats in Dubai private schools have already been taken.

Despite there being only 13 per cent of seats available left, the Director-General of the KHDA said there will not be any shortage of seats in Dubai private schools any time soon.

‘Previous reports that said there were not enough school places in Dubai to meet demand are no longer true, and will not be true again in the future,’ he said.
