(MENAFN) Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced that it awarded two contracts with a combined value of USD10.34 million for the construction of internal roads at Al Qusais 3, and Al Qouz-4, reported Emirates 24/7.
The RTA said that the projects are part of the 2012-2016 5-year plan to pave Dubai’s internal roads at a cost of around USD272 million in order to meet the growing requirements of the emirate’s demographic and urban expansion.
It added that the Internal Roads Project at Al Qusais 3, which is forecasted to cost USD6.26 million, includes the construction of roads, in addition to street lighting works, as well as establishing parking slots for several mosques and public schools.
It is worth noting that the initial phase of the RTA’s 5-year plan includes 5 residential communities, which are Hatta and Al Qusais 3 in addition to Al Qouze 2, 3 and 4, with a combined cost of around USD40.82 million.
