(MENAFN) Dubai World Center (DWC) logged record levels of freight volumes and passenger traffic in 2014, Emirates 247 reported.
Freight volumes reached 758,371 tons in 2014 compared to 209,209 tons in 2013, an increase by 262.5 percent. The surge is said to be due to the completion of the shift of freighter operators by May 2014.
In its first full year of passenger operations, DWC received 845,046 passengers promoted by the arrival of new passenger in 2014.
The yearly numbers were also increased during the October-December period in which 110,920 passengers were welcomed in DWC.
