(MENAFN) Exports from the East Amman Industrial Area last year decreased by 6 percent compared to 2014, as some major markets closed and global commercial need faded.
Furthermore, exports of the zone in 2015 reached USD 450.82mn compared to USD 481.72mn over 2014, as cleared from statistics report from the Zone.
Accordingly, the fall is mainly in manufacturing industries due to drop in exports to Iraq, Egypt and Libya in light of political and security situations there.
In addition, supplies, food, agricultural and animal products exports stood at USD 133.4mn trailed by chemical industries and cosmetics at USD 84.26mn.
