(MENAFN) Education, house rents, water & electricity increased Qatar’s inflation rate by 2.8 percent in Jan a year earlier, while the house rents jumped 7.1 percent in Jan.
Furthermore, recreation and culture grew by 6.1 percent yearly, while housing, water, electricity and gas jumped 6.0 percent and household equipment rose 2.1 percent.
Additionally, the inflation increased 0.6 percent monthly, with “Transport” group growing the most by 3.1 percent, while recreation and culture was up by 1.7 percent.
However, food and beverages became cheaper by 1.4 percent in the cited month from a year earlier and 2.5 percent from Dec 2015 and household equipment became costlier by 2.1 Pct.
