(MENAFN) Egypt announced the opening of a new 750 megawatt power plant as an attempt to prevent the happening of the continues power cuts that have plagued the country, Reuters reported.
The power cuts have severely agonized the lives and businesses of Egypt, which is presently trying to recover from the political turmoil that occurred over the past few years.
The plant, located in Qaliyubia governorate comes under Egypt’s 2012-2017 strategy to secure safe and environmental electricity, according to a cabinet statement.
