21 Aug 2017

(MENAFN) The inter-trade between Egypt and Russia viewed a notable improvement for the first time since 2014, as Egyptian exports to the nation amid the first half of the year reached USD360mn.

In addition, the increase is attributed to the intensive promotional efforts carried out by the ministry and its success in lifting the ban of agricultural exports and Egyptian potatoes.

Furthermore, inter-trade between both sides differed between agricultural exports of vegetables, fruits, medicinal and aromatic plants.

Egyptian exports of agricultural crops also grew 28.8 percent, while fresh strawberries increased by 43.7 percent, fresh potatoes 159.5 percent.
