Egypt to invest EGP29bn on electricity projects to enhance grids

(MENAFN) Minister of Elect and Renewable Energy held a meeting with the Egyptian Elect Transmission Co. to receive the latest updates to enhance the performance of the elect grid.

Accordingly, the EETC’s projects will strengthen the performance of elect transmission grids in Upper Egypt and other governorates, while the investment cost of the projects at EGP29bn.

Moreover, the installation of the projects will support the transmission grids, while projects will enhance the performance of grids by establishing modern elect transmission lines.

The firm is working on establishing three transformer stations in Beni Suef Zone at a voltage of 500/220 KV and a capacity of 450 MV per station.
