Egypt to spread F & B industry for halal products

(MENAFN) Egypt’s food and beverage industry will expand its global export footprint and leverage increasing need for halal products with a main promotion at GulfFood exhibition in Dubai.

Moreover, the country is bringing a huge, multi-commodities exhibitor profile to Gulfood this year covering producers of freshly frozen fruit and vegetables.

Egypt shipped USD 26.8bn worth of goods across the universe with vegetables, fruits and nuts featuring among the country’s top five exports in 2014.

Additionally, between 2010 and 2014, the country’s exports of vegetables reached USD 1.2bn and accounted for 4.6 percent of all exports while fruits and nuts jumped to USD 1.1bn.
