Egyptian exports to UAE grow by 116pct

(MENAFN) Egyptian exports to the UAE increased through the past year by almost 116 percent to a record high of USD2.4bn, compared with USD1bn in 2015.

Accordingly, Commercial Counselor for Egypt in Dubai announced that the office plans to enhance the size of Egyptian exports to the UAE to USD2.7bn.

Furthermore, the UAE market is open to Egyptian products, but the competition puts Egypt in the 5th place of exporters of vegetables to the UAE and the 6th in fruits.

Meanwhile, the tourism in the UAE has witnessed development in the last period, which enhanced imports of food and beverages to 90 percent per year.
