(MENAFN) Egyptian exports to the UAE have grown to USD1.204bn in the first half of the year compared to USD1.126bn in the same period of 2016, an increase of 7 percent.
Accordingly, the boom in Egyptian exports amid the period contributed to the increase in the surplus of the trade balance between both sides to USD735mn for Egypt.
Moreover, the growth in exports to the UAE is attributed to the success of promotional efforts by the ECA in Abu Dhabi in offering consumers in the UAE.
Meanwhile, Egyptian exports grew by 125 percent last year to USD2.4bn from USD1bn in 2015.
