Egypt’s bill of importing fuel fall 54.2% in 9 months

(MENAFN) Bill of importing fuel in Egypt declined by 54.2 percent in January-September 2016 to 30.1 billion pounds (USD1.6 billion) from 65.7 billion pounds at the same period of 2015.

Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed in its monthly bulletin that fuel imports recorded 4.1 billion pounds in September 2016 versus 6.3 billion pounds a year earlier, making a 34.8 percent drop.

Furthermore, Egypt’s imports of coal and its types hit around 1.3 billion pounds in January-September 2016 versus 991.9 million pounds at the same period of 2015, making a 30.5 percent drop.
