Egypt’s Elect Ministry confirms to set up power plant in Luxor

(MENAFN) The Ministry of Elect has confirmed with the Saudi firm Acwa Power in order to set up a power plant with a capacity of 2.250 MW in Luxor governorate.

Accordingly, the new plant supposed to be launched in Dayrut city in Beheira, while the lack of transmission stations forced the government to move the project to the cited area.

In addition, the ministry is in talks with the firm to confirm on the new site of the project and the different items of the deal.

Meanwhile, Hassan Allam Construction will offer 25 percent of whole investments to Dayrut power plant, whereas General Elect and Chinese Sepco will supply and apply all tools for the project.
