Egypt’s exports to EU hit USD3bn, USD73mn in 6 months

(MENAFN) Minister of Trade and Industry proclaimed that he will visit the European Commission in Brussels in the coming period in order to discuss the development and promotion of mutual trade ties between both sides.

Accordingly, the EU shows one of the most important trading partners of Egypt, emphasizing that the trade exchange rates between both sides viewed a great increase in the first half of the year.

Additionally, Egyptian exports to the EU grew by 16.5 percent from USD2bn and USD639mn to USD3bn and USD73mn in the cited period of the year.

Moreover, volume of trade between both nations shows more than 30 percent of Egypt’s total trade, as the volume of the trade exchange between them hit 27bn euros in 2016.
