(MENAFN) Egypt’s exports to Nile Basin nations increased to EGP7.9bn last year, compared to EGP6.9bn in 2014, an increase of 14.8 percent.
Accordingly, the whole value of imports from Nile Basin countries amounted to EGP2.7bn in 2015, compared to EGP4.0bn in 2014.
In addition, the country’s exports to Sudan ranked first at EGP4bn in the cited year, compared to EGP3bn in 2014.
Exports to Kenya came in second place with a value of EGP1.83bn in 2015, compared to EGP1.78bn in 2014, a growth of 2.6 percent.
