Egypt’s private industrial sector hits 62.4pct of credit facilities

(MENAFN) The private industrial sector reached 62.4 percent of the whole credit facilities given by banks to the non-governmental economic sectors at the end of March this year.

Furthermore, the Central Bank of Egypt proclaimed that the total balances of credit facilities given by banks grew to EGP79.6bn between Feb and March this year to record EGP1.3436tr.

Additionally, the industrial sector alone reached 36.5 percent of the loans, ranking first amid all other sectors.

In second place trailed the services sector, involving tourism, with 28.5 percent of the credit facilities, then trade with 10.5 percent.
