Egypt’s trade drops by 22 percent in Feb

(MENAFN) Egypt’s trade deficit dropped by almost 22 percent in Feb this year, compared to Feb 2015.

Accordingly, the trade deficit reached USD 2.47bn in the cited month of this year, compared to USD 3.36bn in 2015.

However, the country’s imports declined by 15.3 percent in Feb 2016 to post USD 4.05bn, compared to the same period in 2015.

On the other hand, the value of some imports increased in Feb this year, like fresh apples by 11.3 percent and copper products by 18.2 percent.
