Emirates airline adds Ukraine to its growing map

(MENAFN) Since it exerts tireless efforts to expand world-wide, Emirates airline announced a plan to grow in Eastern Europe starting with flight to the Ukraine capital Kiev by the advent of 2014, Arabian business reported.

The Dubai-based airline will launch its first flight to Kyiv Boryspil International Airport in the capital Kiev from January 16, 2014 and foreseeable passengers will be carried onboard A340-500 with first, business and economy classes departing from Dubai International airport.

Emirates’ divisional senior vice president of commercial operations west, Hubert Frach, said: “We see strong potential in the Ukraine through its agribusiness, heavy machinery industries, technology, and tourism,” adding “Kiev will be our 35th passenger route in Europe and Emirates’ customers in the Ukraine will be able to fly non-stop to our Dubai hub and conveniently connect onwards to destinations in the Indian Ocean islands and Asia, in addition to our extensive Australian network courtesy of our partnership with Qantas.”

It’s worth noting that the future flights will carry 15 tons of exports from the Ukraine, such as aircraft spares, heavy industry machinery equipment and ships spares.
