(MENAFN) Emirates Airline’s executive vice-president of Engineering and Operations, Adel Al Redha, announced that during the current month, the Dubai-based company would take delivery of 5 planes, reported Arabian Business.
Al Redha said that the delivery includes 3 new A380s that would raise the number of the model in the carrier’s fleet to 30 planes, in addition to 2 new Boeing 777s that would bring the number of the aircraft to 119.
Emirates will expand the list of cities it serves after the arrival of the planes, with the addition of Lyon in France and Phuket in Thailand, both in December, whereas other routes would be added in 2013’s first quarter, including Warsaw in Poland and Algiers in Algeria.
It is worth noting that Emirates Airline is the world’s largest operator of the A380 and the Boeing 777.
