(MENAFN) Dubai-based flagship airline Emirates plans to raise USD4.5 billion in order to offer 21 new plane flights in 2014, according to Gulf Daily News.

Brian Jeffrey, senior vice-president for corporate treasury at the airline, said that market conditions will be taken into consideration to decide whether the company will issue an Islamic or conventional bond by the following year.

Jeffrey said: “We have pretty much the same strategy for the next financial year as this year. It’s going to be a diversified structure.”
