(MENAFN) Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President Cargo, Ram Menen, stated that SkyCargo, the freight unit of Emirates, has added additional 3 Boeing 777F planes to its fleet to boost capacity, reported Emirates 24/7.
Menen said that the new planes will expand SkyCargo’s fleet to 10 aircraft, whereas the number of its dedicated freighter network will grow to 12 destinations.
Each of the 3 new cargo planes will have a capacity to carry up to 103 tons.
The aircraft is the most modern, technologically advanced freighter available and has the lowest fuel burn of any comparable-sized cargo plane.
The plane’s main cargo deck is the widest of any freighter aircraft at 3.7 meters, enabling it to boost bulky cargo and carry larger consignments.
It is worth noting that in March 2013, SkyCargo will add a fourth Boeing 777 freighter.
