(MENAFN) Emirates’ divisional senior vice-president Cargo, Ram Menen, stated that Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of the UAE carrier, will launch a new service to France’s Lyon on December 5, reported Khaleej Times.
Menen said that the city will be SkyCargo’s third destination in France after Nice and Paris, and will be operated via A340-500 with a belly-hold capacity of 15 tons.
He added that the 5-weekly flights will see the EK82 service depart Lyon on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 21:00 and arrive in Dubai at 06:15, whereas EK81 will depart Dubai on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 14:35 and arrive in Lyon at 19:00.
It is worth noting that the new service will boost the annual cargo capacity into and out of the country to over 52,000 tons.
