(MENAFN) Jean Luc Grillet, Emirates Airline’s senior vice president, unveiled plans to increase flights to Sudan next month, Arabian Business reported.
He explained that Emirates will add an additional flight per week between Dubai and Khartoum, and will continue to use an Airbus 330-200 on the route. Khartoum route was established in 2002.
Emirates said in October it has moved to strengthen its market position in Africa with several appointments in its commercial operations team, including Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda.
Emirates currently serves 20 destinations in Africa with new services to Zambia and Zimbabwe starting from February 2012.
