Emirates to move to Al Maktoum Airport

(MENAFN) Emirates SkyCargo will start moving its freighter fleet to Al Maktoum Airport (DWC), according to Gulf News.

The announcement was revealed after signing a trucking contract with Dubai-based Allied Transport LLC, an established land transportation services provider within the UAE and GCC. ۬

Allied Transport provide road feeder services between Dubai International (DXB) and DWC for Emirates SkyCargo through the five-year contract.

In the first year, the company will operate up to 45 trucks.

Emirates SkyCargo expects to have approximately 10 trucks per hour running between DWC and DXB during peak times in the contract’s first year, 2014.
