(MENAFN) Emirates Airline and Group’s Chairman and Chief Executive, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, announced that starting March 1 of next year, the carrier will start its Algiers service, reported Emirates 24/7.
Sheikh Ahmed said that the daily non-stop flight to the North African country will be operated via an Airbus A330-200 in a three-class configuration.
He added that Algiers will become the airline’s 130th destination, its 22nd in Africa and its fifth point within North Africa.
The carrier’s new service will boost trade routes and create new markets for Algerian imports and exports, as the country is well known for being an oil and gas supplier.
It is worth noting that the new introduced flight will leave Dubai at 08:45 and arrive in Algiers at 13:30, whereas the return flight will leave Algiers at 15:35, and arrive to Dubai at 00:55 the next day.
