Erbil, Baghdad to ink new oil agreement

16 Jun 2016

(MENAFN) Iraq’s Kurds said they are ready to make fresh deal with the central government in Baghdad.

The agreement includes boosting oil exports if it guarantees to the Kurds a monthly revenue of USD1 billion.

The deal is brought back after The Iraqi central government has stopped oil exports through a Kurdish pipeline in March.

The stoppage was made to force the local authorities in Erbil to renew talks about an oil revenue-sharing agreement.
