(MENAFN) UAE- based Etihad Airlines witnessed earnings boost by 8% in the second quarter in 2013, with a total of USD921 million revenue for the three months to end of June , which is USD66 million more than revenues reported for the same period last year. The Peninsula News reported.
The Abu Dhabi owned airline explained how code-sharing and equity alliance partners contributed to the raise as it increased the total revenue by 25% for the same period of 2012. While twenty percent of total revenues came from partnership revenues.
The prosperous airlines CEO, James Hogan, expressed his satisfaction saying “This reflects not only the continuing popularity of our Abu Dhabi hub, but the growing maturity of our airline partnership strategy and the strength of our cargo operations”
