Etihad Airways debts flights to East Africa

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi’s flag carrier Etihad Airways launched its first flight services East Africa in a bid to further strengthen its presence in continent, Arabian Business reported.

Etihad will make a twice-a-day flights to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.

Etihad plans to launch services to Nigeria in July and began flying into Libya in January this year.

The airline has run cargo services from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi since March 2009 and will continue to operate five freight only services per week.
