Etihad Airways made USD1b boost to EU economies in 2014

(MENAFN) UAE-based Etihad Airways contributed in a sum of about USD1 billion in bolstering the economies of Europe, and offering more than 11,000 employment opportunities, Arabian Business reported.
Furthermore, Etihad’s expenditure on airliners and other flight equipment added a sum of about USD2.6 billion to the GDP of Europe, providing thus more than 28,100 employment chances.
‘Etihad Airways is not just another foreign airline flying to Europe to poach local traffic. We are a sophisticated partner to and investor in Europe for long-term mutual benefit,’ an official said.
