Etihad-backed Air Seychelles net profit up 171 percent in 2013

(MENAFN) Air Seychelles, in which Etihad Airways owns a 40 percent stake, announced that its net profit soared 171 percent in 2013, Arabian Business reported.

The carrier, logging its second year of consecutive profit, said that its net profit hit USD3 million in 2013, up from USD1.1 million in 2012.

The airline’s international passenger numbers increased by more than a double to 195,857 from 97,576 in 2012.

Air Seychelles has managed to double its network and improve its partnership with Etihad during the year.
