(MENAFN) Etihad Airways announced that it is still working on commercial terms for an investment in Italian carrier Alitalia, Arabian Business reported.
The company’s chief executive officer said that he aims to add minority holdings to funnel traffic through the company’s Abu Dhabi hub.
The CEO is also seeking to restructure the relationship with Air Berlin, in which Etihad has a 29 percent stake.
He said: “Entering into the Air Berlin partnership gave us access to Germany. All our key objectives have been met.”
