(MENAFN) Etihad Airways and Fiji Airways have signed a codesharing agreement which allows reciprocal ticket sales between them, Arabian Business reported.
Etihad said that the revenue from codeshare and equity partners surged 23 percent in the first quarter, hitting USD223 million and accounting for 22 percent of total revenue in the period.
The Abu Dhabi-based carrier reported that its codeshare and equity partnerships delivered 678,000 passengers onto its flights during the quarter, up 25 percent from the corresponding period a year ago.
Etihad Airways had recently announced record breaking cargo and passenger growth in the first quarter. Additionally, the carrier reported a 27 percent increase in revenue amounting to USD1.4 billion.
