(MENAFN) UAE’s Etihad Airways said that it signed a landmark deal with Philippine Airlines that include code-sharing, Arabian Business reported.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the two parties includes frequent flyer reciprocity, airport lounge access, air pass agreements, and cargo cooperation in addition to code-sharing.
There are an estimated 700,000 Filipinos living in the UAE. Etihad’s Abu Dhabi-Manila route was the second busiest last year with 547,680 passengers.
The UAE’s flag carrier’s president and CEO said that the deal would help achieve closer diplomatic, trade and cultural ties” between the two countries.
