04 Jun 2013

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways announced that it took the first step in South America when it launched its first flights to Brazilian Sao Paulo, reported The National.

The UAE based airline added that the direct flight will be between Abu Dhabi and Sao Paulo. Flights will be three times a week, with an approximate flying time of 15 hours.

With the addition of this new destination, Etihad now flies between six continents, including high growth countries such as India, China, Russia, and Brazil.

It is worth mentioning that Brazil has the largest population among South American countries with almost 200 million people. It also is the world’s sixth largest economy, making it a valuable target for airlines.
