(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways could expand its Etihad Regional brand beyond Europe, Arabian Business reported.
The first Etihad Regional operation was announced in November last year when Etihad rebranded Swiss Darwin Airline after it purchased a 33.3 percent stake.
President and CEO of Etihad told Arabian Business: “We have had three approaches from airlines in different parts of the world who are interested in becoming part of this concept, so it is possible that you will see Etihad Regional anywhere in the world.”
Etihad said that its net profit last year hit USD62 million, up 48 percent from the year before it, while revenues increased 27 percent to USD6.1 billion.
