(MENAFN) Higher profits in local market enabled UAE-based telecommunications operator Etisalat to record a slightly higher income.
Accordingly, UAE revenues increased 5.5 percent due to strong data services and use of broadband solutions, whereas its Moroccan affiliate Marco Telecom posted 2pct increase.
Moreover, net profit attributable to equity holders jumped 1.9 percent to USD2.29bn last year, while 2015 earnings had been restated.
Meanwhile, Q4 net profit was 2.24bn dirhams, while revenue in the cited quarter of 2015 was 2.60bn dirhams.
