(MENAFN) Dubai’s low-cost carrier flydubai announced that it has started services to South Sudan’s Juba, reported Arabian Business.
The carrier said that the 4-weekly flights will connect Dubai with the capital of the world’s newest country.
At the current time, 8 Arab and African carriers operate flights to the country, including Egypt Air, Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Airlines.
The country that became independent in 2011 is crammed with thousands of UN staff, diplomats and aid workers, which attracts airlines.
It is worth noting that both Sudan and South Sudan agreed to recommence cross-border oil flows that were suspended since January 2012.
