(MENAFN) Dubai Airports’ CEO, Paul Griffiths, stated that flydubai might relocate to the new Dubai World Central (DWC) airport in Jebel Ali by 2013, reported Emirates 24/7.
Griffiths added that taking into consideration the local budget carrier’s current growth, the current Terminal 2 wouldn’t be able to accommodate its operations at a later stage.
On the other hand, he said that Dubai Airports was also in talks with other carriers that would probably want to relocate their operations to DWC, as the airport would be ready by the end of the year.
It is worth noting that Emirates Airline may to relocate operations to DWC between 2025 and 2027, according to Griffiths.
