(MENAFN) Flydubai, the low-cost carrier, announced it is launching a new five-time a week flights to Mumbai, which the carrier said it considers to be one of the most significant route launches it did in its five-year history, Gulf Business reported.
The carrier also announced it is increasing the frequency on its Delhi service to five weekly, which would result in flydubai now serving seven destinations in India with 25 flights a week.
Despite flydubai knowledge of how hard it would be to compete with Emirates’ six-a-day schedules to Mumbai, the carrier thinks that these new services will provide tourists and businessmen with a more affordable premium travel option.
The carrier, which has witnessed a rapid with over 1.100 flights per week to 76 destinations across 37 countries, as well as operating a fleet of 38 B737-800s, also started flights to Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar last week.
