Ford achieves 37% hike in Q1 sales in Gulf

(MENAFN) In the first quarter of 2012, Ford carried on with its growth in the Middle East as passenger cars’ sales witnessed a growth rate of more than 25 percent, and utility cars witnessed a growth rate of 50 percent, reported Arabian Business.

As for the best sales, they were recorded in Ford Fusion, Taurus, the Ford Edge, Escape, Explorer and Expedition and F-150, which are considered best performers.

In the first quarter of 2012, Ford posted 37 percent growth compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Ford considered this a significant kick-off to the year where more and more customers in GCC demand Ford and Lincoln products for more money value.

Ford Motor Company sales in KSA increased by 50 percent, in the UAE its total sales increased by 60 percent and in Qatar and Oman, it was around 40 percent.
