Foreign investments into Qatar grow by 11pct

(MENAFN) Foreign investments into Qatar increased by 11 percent year on year to QR537.3bn with foreign direct investments only accounting for almost one-fourth of them.

Additionally, foreign other investment, excluding fiscal derivatives reached QR332.4bn, FDI at QR133bn and foreign portfolio investments at QR71.9bn.

Meanwhile, around 90 percent of inward FDI was accounted for by the oil and gas and associated downstream manufacturing and other activities like transportation and marketing.

Moreover, manufacturing reached QR74.5bn worth FDI, trailed by mining and quarrying at QR43.3bn and finance and insurance at QR7.5bn.
