Gaza loses USD300m due to Israeli air strikes

(MENAFN) The Palestinian Chamber of Commerce stated that the 8-day Israeli air strikes cost the Gaza Strip USD300 million in economic losses, reported Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The chamber’s report shows that the agricultural sector lost USD120 million, whereas USD40 million were lost as a result of the suspension of economical activities during the period.

Other losses were related to the destruction and damage of houses, government and security premises and infrastructure.

Moreover, the air raids, which killed 168 Palestinians, also damaged properties in the health and social sectors.
