GCC healthcare spending to hit USD69bn by 2020

(MENAFN) Total healthcare spending in the GCC is projected to reach USD69bn by 2020, providing notable potential for research and development (R & D).

Meanwhile, the GCC governments and private firms are making significant investments in the sector to enhance the range of medical offerings and services available.

In addition, the need for new hospitals, clinics and medical services is increasing and the GCC governments are predicted to spend and invest more in the sector by 2020.

Last month, Kuwait-based economic think-tank Global announced that the GCC offers immense chances, particularly under public private partnership model, which will grow at 12.5pct by 2020.
