GCC States invest USD100bn in airport expansion projects

(MENAFN) The GCC States are investing USD100bn in airport expansion projects with a view to provide to the rapid increase in the number of travelers.

Moreover, the number of passengers is predicted to double by 2035 and expanding fleets of airlines, especially their national carriers.

Meanwhile, the UAE will lead the Middle East growth in number of air travelers with more than 6.3 percent annual growth.

In addition, the region is expected to view a robust 5 percent annual growth, which predicts 7.2bn passengers to travel in 2035.
